Most classes this summer have been centered around Creatures at the Ocean. Part of an ocean adventure for our family is kite flying.
While we adults love the extensive running around this activity involves (basically because it often leads to extensive naps), our in class experience has been more concerned with breath control. Children need to learn to expand their lungs fully and control the air outflow in order to speak a full sentence or sing a full phrase.
So find yourself a box of tissues, and blow, blow, blow your kites!
